Cris Cyborg (real name Cristiane Justino)

Many want to see Cris Cyborg fight Ronda Rousey in the UFC. It has been discussed weight issues, can Cris Cyborg make 135 pounds and still be healthy? Why wouldn´t Ronda Rousey agree to fight at 140 punds? when she earlier has been competing at 154 in Judo. But the real issue is that Cris Cyborg has been busted for anabolic steroids abuse. Cris Cyborg got busted for using the anabolic steroid stanozolol, and she got stripped for the Strikeforce title. When Cyborg got busted for steroids, Dana White said the whole woman’s 145-division in Strikeforce was in in danger for been terminated. In a way it can be claimed that Cyborg has been bad for the sport general, and bad for woman’s mma specifically.

Why not sign Cris Cyborg

The UFC should not sign Cris Cyborg because she is a convicted cheat. She has been convicted for using steroids, and studies has suggested that athletes might benefit from steroid 10 years after use. The consequence if this is accurate, is that Cyborg could not fight or do any sport fairly until earliest in 2022. Ronda Rousey do not want to have anything to do would Cris Cyborg because she is a cheat, and Ronda should be respected for not wanting to fight fighters busted for steroid or other PEDs. Ronda Rousey want a clean sport. The UFC should therefore not sign Cris Cyborg. The UFC should in fact never make Ronda Rousey fight any fighter that has been busted for steroid in the past. It would be a big step in the completely wrong direction towards making MMA a clean and fair sport, if the UFC signs Cris Cyborg. FightingClean should be the mantra in the UFC, and this can only be achieved by improving the quality of drug tests and the drug test regime.
